Why is carrying a flashlight a wise choice

Why do I have to bring another flashlight when my mobile phone has the function of flashlight?
As a hand electric control, this is by far the most frequently asked question when outsiders see a flashlight in our EDC. This is a straight to the point question. Why should we carry an extra device that will only drag us down? The mobile phones we carry with us are fully qualified for the lighting tasks under normal circumstances. My favorite response has always been: “you bring an umbrella for a 50% chance of rain, so why don’t you bring a flashlight for 100% darkness every night?”

Although the flashlight of mobile phone can meet the basic lighting needs, the goal of carrying a special flashlight is to become the best tool for this work. For example, you can use a knife for both unpacking and preparing food, but can’t an art knife and kitchen knife better complete the task? Special tools also mean more focus and specific functions. On a flashlight, this means more power, stronger structure, and light like day. When the power consumption of mobile phones is fast, and darkness is the first challenge you need to deal with, it will come in handy.
Portability: if carrying a flashlight every day is a problem, it is useless. Do you prefer one small enough to hang on the key chain or one with larger battery, more functions and longer life? Do you carry a flashlight in your trouser pocket or in your backpack or glove box every day to deal with emergencies? Light should appear in time when you need it, and be silent when you don’t need them.

 Ease of use: like Adam savage, you may think that the simpler the flashlight gear design, the better, or some people want as many modes and functions as possible. It is important that the flashlight function be as easy to use as possible for you. When it doesn’t show what you expect when you need it, you’ll eventually leave them at home.
 Endurance: in my opinion, this is the best reason to carry a flashlight. Yes, at the end of the day, the flashlight of the mobile phone may be able to finish the work. Unfortunately, unless mobile power is used, the end of the day is when the mobile phone battery is about to run out. Not a lot of cost and space can make you bright in the long night when your mobile phone has run out of power.
